- The Best of the Best
Calls us what you like, but the iPhone is certainly a major player in the industry albeit already a year old. The iPhone 5s is simply a super good phone to have, powered by the powerful 64-bit chip as well as a slightly more juicy battery. The home button has also been replaced with a new one: a circular flat Touch ID button which scans your fingerprint to determine access. The 5s is an elegantly designed phone designed to feel premium in terms of color options (silver, black and gold), feel and sheer quality and it certainly does a great job in doing so. Unlike Samsung flagships, the iPhone 5s is made entirely out of more premium materials such as the shiny aluminium covering the entire back of the phone. It also includes a more advanced camera which takes much better pictures, and whose video-taking capabilities allow slow-motion recording, which is a really cool thing you should try out one day.
Sony’s flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z2, was recently released in last month’s Mobile World Congress. The 5.2” Xperia Z2 comes with Google’s latest Android: codenamed KitKat and in a new Full HD screen. Powered by the latest Qualcomm processor, the Z2 is super speedy and it certainly doesn’t lag even while running the heaviest programs. It also provides 4K video recording (uber clear video recording capabilities). The Z2 also comes with an amazing 20.7 megapixel camera and a sensor that’s 30% larger than the standard smartphone. As usual, the highly durable Xperia is both waterproof and dust resistant. So go ahead and enjoy it whenever, wherever.
Despite not making particularly huge waves in the smartphone industry, the 5c deserves a mention here due to it being Apple’s next best phone, which also manages to impress in terms of performance, durability and is also listed due to the fact that the iPhone 5 is no longer sold in Apple stores. The 5c is basically an iPhone 5 covered in high-quality plastic with a wide choice of colors (green, blue, red, yellow, white). It has everything the 5s has without only the Touch ID (it retains the i5 button), slow-mo recording and the 64-bit processor (i5c maintains a 32-bit one, which is already speedy enough).
