Samsung Galaxy S5 already has a Chinese clone, the Goophone 5S

Goophone is a company in China notorious for making knockoff brands of flagship phones. Surprisingly, they look and feel exactly like the phones they are ripped off from, but once turned on, their specifications and software aren’t exactly up to speed with the real deal.

For example, the company released an iPhone 5c clone days before Apple’s release that inexplicably ran Android. And now, not even a week after the announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S5, it already has a clone that straight up rips the design off Samsung’s latest flagship model.

The Goophone S5 will have all the pieces as the Galaxy S5 has, including the back battery panel that seems to be a hit with Samsung fans, but underneath the 1920 x 1080 pixel display, it runs a Mediatek octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB of storage and features a 13 megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and a 5 megapixel camera on the front.

It runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean right out of the box and it doesn’t support LTE. Nothing more than the best 3G Network with the Goophone 5S.

It’s not exactly up to speed with the Samsung Galaxy S5, but the Goophone S5 is barely competitive none the less. Goophone is looking to charge $299.99 for this one. Any takers?
